Selection Process Stages
1. Written Examination
A single objective/MCQ-based written test covering both General Studies and Main Subject (30 + 120 questions; 150 marks total)
The exam is conducted in offline pen-and-paper format, lasting 2 hours, with negative marking (≈ 0.33 marks deducted per wrong answer)
Candidates are selected purely on the basis of written marks—there is no interview or personality test .
2. Merit List Preparation
A state-wide merit list is prepared solely based on written exam scores.
3. Document Verification
Candidates who make it to the merit list are called for verification of original documents (academic certificates, UPTET scorecard, category certificates, etc.)
4. Medical Examination
Shortlisted candidates must also undergo a standard medical fitness test as per UPPSC norms
5. Final Appointment & Counseling/Posting
Upon clearing all stages, candidates receive posting orders based on their rank and availability, typically at the district-level or selected schools

1. Subject-specific High-Yield Questions
